AI Systems Engineer
/ Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend systems for a SaaS product
• Develop API-first architecture for internal and external integrations
• Build and maintain data pipelines for document ingestion and processing
• Implement AI-powered features using LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems
• Work closely with users to translate real-world workflows into product logic
• Contribute to system design decisions and early-stage product architecture

What we're looking for

• Strong experience in backend or systems engineering
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with data pipelines or document processing systems
• Practical experience with LLMs, retrieval systems, or AI applications
• Product-oriented mindset and ability to work in fast-changing environments
• Ownership-driven approach suited for early-stage startups
